John Saunders passed away suddenly in October 2021. John was a founding member and former secretary of the Outcasts team from the time they joined the QLL in 2009, and made 127 appearances with them before retiring in 2019. He was known for his booming voice and general air of bonhomie, which led to Outcasts matches being a great deal of fun for all involved. John is survived by his sister and two brothers, including his Outcasts teammate Mike Saunders, and had welcomed his first great-grandchild a few months ago. John will be fondly remembered by his teammates and the entire league, who welcomed his larger-than-life presence.
