During August 2003, QLL lost two good friends: Keith Loveys, of Earls Court, and Dick Garland, of Turnpike Lane. Both men were known for their love of ale, as well as being excellent bridge players, and fine occasional quizmen.
Keith, 54, was a member of the Cleveland side which reached the All-London Cup Final, and Dick (65-ish), was a regular spectator and friendly player at matches featuring the Chester Army and the Barbican. Both men will be sadly missed.
